Dear Parents and Caregivers
We are running a programme here next term (term 3) about how to help your child with reading at home. It's called Reading Together. It is a research based programme that helps fono/whanau to support their child/ren with reading at home.
We would love to see you there if you can make it. It is a very effective programme and I highly recommend it.

Samoan Language Week
Talofa!
Samoan Language Week was awesome! We learnt the Samoan National Anthem, how to draw Samoan Patterns, songs in Samoan and greetings. We are experts at counting from 1-10. Tasi (1), Lua (2), Tolu (3), Fa (4), Lima (5), Ono (6), Fitu (7), Valu (8), Iva (9), Sefulu (10).
Here are some of our beautiful patterns:

At 11.40am we had people come and teach us some Samoan activities like songs and dances. I thought it was so cool that we could all join in on counting in Samoan because we had done it in class. I love Samoa. It is very nice and tropical. By: B
Thank you to our wonderful visitors during Samoan Week :-)
Guide Dogs!
Hi everyone :-)
In week 6 we had some very special visitors come to visit us. 1 puppy in training, 1 breeding dog and 1 guide dog. We learnt lots about what they do and how they are animal heroes.
Guide Dogs are heroes because they lead blind people and look after them so they don't get hurt.

Our topic is heroes. This is our last week at looking at animal heroes.
Puppet Show!
Phi-An liked how they used their loud presenting voices and expressions.
Andrea loved that it was funny.
What did you think of the show? Please leave some feedback and feedforward comments :-)
