Swimming like dolphins!

Rowing to help our class mate

Editing our writing
Wow! What an awesome two weeks it was learning how to swim. We even wrote recounts about our lessons and edited them ourselves. We can now edit our work and identify our next steps in learning. Miss Bound was so proud of everyone for giving swimming ago and trying their best!

"We love swimming!"

Dear parents and whanau,

Thank you to everyone that
came to parent teacher interviews.
What a great turn out we had! The children loved sharing their writing about the swimming lessons with you. Keep up the wonderful work you are doing with your children at home :-)

Tongan Language Week

Malo e lelei!

Look how awesome we all looked on our cultural mufti day during Tongan Languge Week.

Can you see kiekie, kafa, ta'ovala and tupenu?

We can all now have a short conversation in Tongan to ask how someone is, count to 10 and sing songs.

Malo to the children that shared their culture and language with us this week!

Tidy numbers

In maths we have been learning to add and subtract by first making a tidy number. Tidy numbers have 0 at the end. Here are some examples we have made to share our learning with you:

Thanks for watching!

Term Two

Wow! What a great term we had last term. As a special treat on our last day we made healthy smoothies. We were learning to describe using detail. We could describe the smoothies taste, smell, look, feel and the sound it made when it was in the blender.

Come in and have a read of our wonderful writing.
Writing about our smoothies!
A highlight from Term 2 was making and flying kites to celebrate Matariki. These are displayed in our room, come and see! :-)
We wrote wonderful recounts about our experience.

We have a published writing wall where you can come and read our writing and leave us some feedback.
